Mid Coast in New South Wales is a picturesque region spanning approximately 350 km of stunning coastline from the Hawks Nest region all the way up to the Coffs Harbour area. Here are some interesting facts about this region:

1. Mid Coast enjoys a sub-tropical climate, making it an ideal destination to visit throughout the year.

2. It is home to numerous pristine beaches, with many beaches ranking amongst the most beautiful in Australia.

3. One of the most interesting attractions in Mid Coast is the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie. It is the world's first koala hospital that was established back in the 1970s to help mend and support the dwindling population of koalas.

4. The Great Lakes, a stunning marine park located in Mid Coast, is a popular spot for swimming, surfing, and boating.

5. The region also features several national parks such as Hat Head National Park, Booti Booti National Park, and Myall Lakes National Park. These parks offer spectacular scenery, and they are abundant with wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies.
